The Everyone v. Farnsworth case was a trial lead by Superior Gort Judge in the Superior Gort of the Planetoid. Farnsworth was charged for creationism. Leela, Bender, Fry, Amy and Hermes witnessed. It took place in August of 3010, and is known as the "trial of the century" (which doesn't say much as the court was created earlier that day).
Leela was originally intended to be the Professor's defense lawyer, but Bender claimed the job to himself, saying the other robots would listen to him.
Farnsworth was supposed to be found guilty and sentenced to death by melting, but the jury didn't reach a verdict, as it evolved to a higher state of consciousness and stopped serving.
