Biography
David X. Cohen is an exectutive producer and writer for Futurama. Although he was born David Samuel Cohen, he changed his middle initial in order to register with the Writers' Guild. The Guild has a rule that no two members may have the same name, and there was already "some jerk" registered with the name "David S. Cohen". He chose the "X" because it sounded more science-fictiony.
He started as a writer on the Simpsons, and collaborated with Matt Groening to develop Futurama.
Although usually not credited, he is responsible for "perfecting" most of the scripts for each episode. He also wrote (and sung) the music for Molten Boron, and designed one of the robots in the robot strip club.
