The Robot Party Week was declared by president Richard Nixon's head at the Big Robot Party. To solve the problem of Global warming, Professor Farnsworth told all robots to vent their exhaust directly towards the Sun, so Earth moves further from the Sun, thus cooling it. Because the planet's orbit is further from the sun, the year is one week longer, so Nixon named the additional week "Robot Party Week", in honour of all the robots who saved Earth.
