Hi, I'm using Google Chrome for my web browser, and on some articles for me, the side bar with the "recent changes" and main icon are moved down. i've taken a picture of it. now is it just me, is it google chrome or is this happening to others? 64.229.152.105 04:07, 4 August 2010 (CEST)

You're not the only one, I'm using Firefox and I have the same problem on many pages. I hope this can be fixed beause it is not very useful, you want to edit a page and the edit button has disappeared. --90.5.101.222 12:41, 4 August 2010 (CEST)

It is due to a recent update of the software and the skin. It can mess up the cache. There are two ways to fix it; make an edit to the page or add ?action=purge at the end of the link, like this: http://theinfosphere.org/Yivo?action=purge. That should purge the cache and give you a correct version.
This is not the best solution, I know, so I am currently looking into purging all our cache, since a lot most be stuck here and there. --Sviptalk 14:58, 4 August 2010 (CEST)
I'm using SeaMonkey 2.06, and also used IE 8, both have the problem. Oddly, the problem only appears when I'm logged out. After logging in, I don't see the problem on the same pages. I first saw this problem on Battle of Spheron 1, created an account so I could fix the problem, and then didn't see the problem. Further investigation revealed I needed to be logged out to see it. Adding "?action=purge" to a page does fix the problem when I'm logged out. But after viewing several battle pages in Category:Battles, the problem reappears requiring another purge. I don't see a pattern to it. CuriousEric 18:51, 19 September 2010 (CEST)
This has nothing to do with the topic, but this page was categorized under "Battles" because the Category:Battles link above didn't have a colon in the link. I know one shouldn't edit other peoples' comments, but I went ahead and added it into CuriousEric's comment. Please don't hit me with baseball bats. -- DeepSpaceHomer 01:10, 5 September 2011 (CEST)
