"Saturday Morning Fun Pit" is the one hundred and fortieth episode of Futurama and the nineteenth episode of the seventh production season.
The episode will most likely be a segmented episode. It will parody 1980s Saturday morning cartoon shows, including Scooby-Doo, G.I. Joe and Strawberry Shortcake.[1]
Production
On 2 September, 2012, it was revealed that the Scooby-Doo-esque segment of the episode will guest star George Takei and Larry Bird. [2]
On 11 December, 2012, with the release of Volume 7 and its commentary for "Naturama", it was revealed that the episode would be directed by Crystal Chesney-Thompson.

- This is the first 3-segmented episode of the Comedy Central run to not be produced as an _ACV13 or _ACV26. ("The Futurama Holiday Spectacular" was 6ACV13, "Reincarnation" was 6ACV26 and "Naturama" was 7ACV13.)
