Phil LaMarr is an actor and comedian, who Futurama fans know as the voice of Hermes Conrad, the lovable Jamaican bureaucrat. A Yale graduate and a former member of Yale's improv comedy group Purple Crayon, he has an extensive list of credits in movies, TV, and games, as well as a number of voice-over acting roles. He is perhaps most widely remembered as a cast member on the FOX sketch comedy series MADtv during the show's first five years, his role as the doomed Marvin in Pulp Fiction, and the title role in the Cartoon Network series Samurai Jack. In addition, he is the voice of Ollie Williams and others on the FOX sitcom Family Guy.
He provided voices for the Star Wars franchise as well, including Gadon Thek and others in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Riiken and others in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords and many voices in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series.
